Welcome to our blog. Those of you who know me know that I am techno useless so this thing will probably crash a million times. However in the event that I can keep it working, I hope that the blog will be a good way to record the things that happen to our family as we prepare to meet Daniel Quan. I also hope that it will allow you to keep up to date with us on each step of the journey. We received our referral at 2:15PM on November 25th 2008. I was attending a course in Mallow when the call came in. Mike wasn't answering his phone, so I stumbled back into a room of strangers and announced in a shakey voice that I had received a referral. Nine horrified faces looked back at me, because they thought that I had just been made redundant. I couldn't understand why they weren't smiling and congratulating me until I realised that to the uninitiated, referral meant nothing. I gave them a quick explanation, accepted their congratulations and went out to call Mike again. This time he answered (thank God) He was as over the moon as I was. We received a picture of Daniel on Wednesday November 26th 2008. When I showed it to Grace she thought that it was "only baby Kai". When I told her that it was actually her brother she was thrilled. I wish I'd caught her reaction on camera. It would be good to use in the future when they are killing each other.
